After you have endured years,
And your complexion has been riddled with wrinkles
The beauty that was once admired
Will have faded away
Then asking where your beauty went
Reply it was wasted on yourself
How much more useful your beauty would have been
If you had a child that you passed it onto
And you could see yourself fresh in your child
When you are so old

The Visual Argument
Can images do what words do?
The use of images to convey an argument is not too widespread, but is just as effective has a spoken or textual argument. Images can in some cases leave a more powerful message than words alone. The sentence, there is a starving child who needs your help, may not be as persuasive as an image of a crying starving child holding her hands our for food. Images however powerful may sometimes also not be as clear as words, an image arguing one point could be interpreted in several different ways while words are more often than not clear in their meaning when an argument is being made. So although images may offer a very powerful argument in some cases, more often they will not be able to capture an argument as fully as words can.

Love and Claudio
Why does Claudio fall in love with Hero?
Claudio falls in love with Hero when he sees her. Cupid's arrow struck Claudio in the eye, therefore when he sees Hero, he falls in love automatically. Throughout the play, the idea reoccurs that Claudio falls in love with Hero because he has been struck in the eye. And to further his reasoning for falling in love with her, Hero also has money and holds a rank.

Masquerades
What possibilities does a masquerade afford its participants?
A masquerade allows people to pretend to be someone they are not, which leaves room for deception. Anyone can claim to be another person, because everybody is wearing a mask identity or lack of becomes a focal point. But a masquerade can also allow people to be more comfortable, if nobody knows who they are, a person may be more apt to freely express themselves without fear of embarrassment.

Reader and the Text
When writing, the author determines who his or her audience will be or who the expected audience will be. The target audience participates within a text firstly dominating how an author writes and what the author writes. An author won't use difficult words or confusing language if the target audience are seven year olds. In doing this, a reader partly owns the text he or she is reading. Mostly a reader will be interested in something that is targeted for them, so there will naturally be a connection between the reader and the text, allowing the reader to feel like at the time they own the text.
